Mike McMahon's passion for Gladney began with the adoption of his children, David, age 28 and Claire, age 24. A native of Massachusetts, Mike moved to Texas to attend Trinity University. Upon graduation, he remained in Texas, launching his professional career in the health care industry before becoming President of Gladney in 1988. During his tenure, over 4,300 children have been placed in forever homes. Gladney has blossomed under his leadership.

Other milestones include:
  • The founding of the Gladney Fund
  • The creation of the New Beginnings (foster children) and ABC (African-American and Bi-racial) programs
  • The establishment of the International Adoption Program
  • The completion of the new Gladney Campus
